Currently GMI is focused on the Horn of Africa, the seven-nation corner of the continent that marks the crossroads between Africa's Islamic north, the Arabian peninsula to the east, and the mostly Christian or secular nations to the south. Our goal is to identify and enhance the competitiveness of African products both within the neighboring regions and in the global marketplace and to develop partnerships in the U.S. and Africa to take vantage of the opportunities that are being presented in the "African Millennium".
